JOBSEARCH AND INTERVIEW TECHNIQUE
WORKSHOP.
Aims
Jobsearch workshops focus the efforts of each
individual, helping them to find alternative employment without delay. Workshops
give extremely practical support to those whose jobs are redundant and play a
vital role in maintaining and improving the morale of the remaining
workforce.
CONTENTS AND KEY OBJECTIVES
Personal Issues:
- Attitudes to redundancy, strategies to help cope with
change.
- Identification of skills, knowledge and
experience.
- Analysis of career options, needs and transferable
skills
Jobsearch
- CV preparation, advert analysis and market research,
speculative letters, telephone technique and networking.
- Interview technique - preparation and presentation
using, case studies and interview role play, negotiation of salaries and
terms.
Alternative options:
- Job centre, agency work and recruitment
consultancies.
- Training, re-training or education.
All delegates will have drafted a CV on completion,
and will have developed a Personal Action Plan setting out practical goals and
aims, with realistic time scales.
